All this should be blamed on money. Not the parents or the schools.
The little birds learn to fly each day, little by little. The Australian bushman
puts another dollar in the fire and the International Space Station completes
15.54 orbits per day. We used to blame the Gods, now the politicians. Call
it what you will – regression or progression. No one should blame the stars.
I am made of star dust and time. The dark eye of my coffee cup brims with
promise. Is the darkness infinite? Of course, and then some.

On the street. I walk. On the sidewalk made of sidewalk.
I walk fast and slow. In the night made of night. And stars
of pureness. No noises. Just echoing steps. And time
made of time. Black sky. Glowing firefly of the cigarette.
Trees made of trees. Silence. Houses made of trees and stones.
In my home. I drink vodka and water. Vodka made
of vodka and water made of time. Unending. Fifteen billion
years. And I am still here. I drink fast and slow. News on
the TV. War. Soldiers made of mothers and pain. Dying.
I watch and I listen and I drink and I smoke and I breathe.
Air made of air. And then I sleep and I dream. Nightmares
made of nightmares. Blackness made of darkness. Finally
dawn. Light and inhalation. And the beginning made of the
end.

The cars are metastases crawling inside the veins of the roads.
And then they disappear in the flat-line of the horizon. Green
is the color of the mountain’s lungs. During the dark ages they
inhale the crystals of eternity and exhale throughout the future
eras. Timelessness, lost between tick and tock. The tress bow down
their haunted crowns and whisper scary fairy-tales. And everything
repeats itself again in the future. If you put your head on the ground
you will hear: “I remember how all this will happen again!”
