Nesting
after Aleksandr Blok
Diapers, blankets, onesies, socks—
baby supplies tucked in the dresser
of a third bedroom, the rubber ducky-
themed space awaiting our daughter,
the nursery for which we switched
apartments when we believed in doctors
believed babies came as easily as cribs,
dressers full of onesies, socks and diapers.
